EP Premiere | Slush – Self-titled

Today we premiere the debut self-titled EP from Melbourne trio, Slush.

Driven simultaneously by joy and fury, Slush’s five-track EP is an explosion of power-pop majesty. Through tongue-in-cheek lyricism, Slush confront their “frustrations around sexism and experiences as woman or gender non-conforming people”.

Tracing personal experiences learning to love your menstrual cup, on ‘Keep Cup’, misogynistic name-calling on ‘Salty’ and gate-keeping rock dog mentality on ‘Bono’ – a personal fave hitting back at the U2 singer for calling modern rock music too “girly”, the EP is a wholly cathartic experience from start to finish.

Stream Slush’s debut EP exclusively below ahead of its release this Friday (via Hysterical Records) and if you’re in Melbourne, be sure to head along to their  keep an eye out for live dates to come.
